BUENA VISTA, VA. – The Hawks have concluded their season 4-10 overall as they fell to Southern Virginia in the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament, 21-2.
The Knights six first quarter goals went unanswered until Peyton Beachler swung one by the goalie in the last minute and a half to cut the deficit to five.
Southern Virginia tagged six more goals before heading to halftime up 12-1 in the USA South matchup.
Goalies Elizabeth Todd and Mia Haulbrook traded halves each playing thirty minutes with five saves.
Amara Veng earned the last goal for the Hawks in the fourth quarter as the Knights scored nine more goals in the second half to advance.
