Hawks Go Cold At Hanover
HANOVER,In.- In their second game of the season, Huntingdon women's lacrosse (0-2 overall) was defeated by the Hanover Panthers (1-2 overall) 14-4 on the road.
How it happened
First quarter

Hanover struck first, scoring a goal in the first minute to take a 1-0 lead

Following two more Panther goals, Reagan Barrett got the Hawks on the board at the 7:55 mark to bring the score to 3-1

Another goal from the Panthers pushed their lead to 4-1 entering the second quarter
Second quarter

In the second quarter, the Panthers went on an offensive tear, scoring 4 unanswered goals to lead 8-1 entering the second half
Third quarter

The Hawks kept battling, with Peyton Beachler scoring the first goal of the second half at the 11:14 mark to cut the lead to 8-2

Beachler scored another goal at the 9:40 mark to bring the Hawks within 5, 8-3

Still hot, Beachler followed two goals from Hanover to put the Hawks behind 10-4, but the Panthers scored again in the final 20 seconds to hold a 11-4 lead entering the final quarter
Fourth quarter

To close out the game, Hanover scored three goals, shutting down any offensive momentum the Hawks generated, walking away with a 14-4 victory
