Hawks Compete in Millikin Open

Decatur, Ill.-The Huntingdon Wrestling Team opened the 2021-22 season at the Millikin Open.

Jack Haury finished 2nd in the 285 Open class with 2 wins by fall, scoring 19 points for the Hawks. 

Jason Minchew finished 3rd in the 184 Open class, earning 16 points. He won 2 matches by major decision, sudden victory, and decision. 

Jayson Spencer ended in 4th after 2 wins by fall in the 165 class, which earned 15.5 points. 

Nick Kendrick placed 6th in the 174 class, adding 14 points for the Hawks. 

David Burgess placed 7th in the 149 class, scoring 9 points with a win by decision. 

Ian Orr placed 7th in  the 133 class, scoring 6 points for the team after a win by fall. 

Gavin Strain earned 2.5 points with a win by fall in the 157 class. 

The Hawks are back in action on Saturday, November 20, at the Greensboro Duals in Greensboro, NC.
