Hawks shut out Wesleyan on Senior Day

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, ONLY HUNTINGDON STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED AT OUTDOOR ATHLETIC EVENTS

                                                                                                                          

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day with a 6-0 win over Wesleyan on Sunday.

Huntingdon scored four goals in the first 24 minutes of the game before adding two goals late.

Lindsay Paskman scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Hedi Docking before Kirstin Hayes scored twice in less than three minutes. Hayes' second goal came on an assist from Sierra Millinor. Millinor closed the first half scoring on an assist from Alexis Louk.

In the second half, freshman Joslyn Dahlberg added two final goals for Huntingdon. Louk had the assist on Dahlberg's first goal and Madison Tryon had the assist on the final goal.

Goalkeeper Kylie Kersh recorded four saves in the shutout. The shutout was the 14th of Kersh's career, tying the program's NCAA-era record set by Jenny Burnash from 2009-12. Kersh set the Hawks' NCAA-era single season record with eight shutouts in 2018.
