Hawks Fall to Piedmont in Overtime

Montgomery, Ala.-The Huntingdon Women's Soccer Team dropped a conference match against Piedmont, 3-2, in overtime. The Hawks are now 8-6-1 overall and 4-2-1 in conference. 

Piedmont scored first at 41:16 and took a 1-0 lead into the second half. Allison Fisher tied it up at 73:04, with an assist by Madison Tryon. Just 40 seconds later, Piedmont regained the lead, 2-1.

At 89:26, Doren Staley tied the game at 2 with an unassisted goal, forcing overtime.

At 96:52, Piedmont scored the game-winning goal. 

Goalkeeper Kiki Culpepper made 2 saves and the Hawks offense totalled 11 shots.

The Hawks are back in action tomorrow, October 17, when they take on Asbury at 1 PM CST for Senior Day.
