Women’s Soccer Falls to Oglethorpe

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Women's Soccer (2-3 overall) fell to the Petrels of Oglethorpe (2-1-2) in tonight's contest, 4-2.

Angelina Mazza's first collegiate goal came right before the second minute, assisted by Madison Tryon to push the Hawks up 1-0.

Oglethorpe answered in the 27th minute to tie the game at 1 after a corner kick. Another corner kick from the Petrels in the final minute of the first half boosted them ahead.

After halftime, Oglethorpe added two more quick goals before Madison Tryon for the Hawks could push one past the Petrels goalie to try and regain some ground (4-2).

The Petrels shot the ball 14 more times than the Hawks, putting goalie Libby Williams to work with four saves on the night.

The Hawks were unable to add any more goals as they fell to Oglethorpe.
