MARYVILLE, Tenn. – Huntingdon Women's Soccer (4-7-1 overall, 2-3 CCS) fell on the road to Maryville College (7-2-3 overall, 3-0-1 CCS) with a final score of 8-1.
The Hawks came up short after the Scots three goals in seven minutes in the middle of the first half. Maryville shot 32 total shots offensively compared to Huntingdon's three with two on goal.
Libby Williams had 11 saves as she tried to deter the Scots. In the second half, Maryville added five goals and Anaely Almeida scored the Hawks lone goal in the 80th minute.
The women's soccer team will return to action at Wesleyan (Ga.) College on Tuesday at 6:00 PM CT.
