Women's Tennis Competes in Day 1 of John McWilliams Invitational

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Tennis competed in day 1 of the John McWilliams Invitational in singles and doubles competitions against Wallace State Community College, Oglethorpe, and Belhaven.

Huntingdon vs Wallace:

Meredith Head and Alonda Weaver were defeated 8-4.

Marisa LaJone and Madison Parker were defeated 8-6.

Huntingdon vs Oglethorpe:

Marisa LaJone and Alonda Weaver were defeated 8-2.

Madison Parker and Katelyn Morris were defeated 8-4.

Huntingdon vs Belhaven:

Meredith Head was defeated 6-1, 6-1.

Marisa LaJone won 5-7, 6-3, 10-7.

Alonda Weaver won 6-3, 6-2.

Katelyn Morris was defeated 7-6, 7-5.

Madison Parker won 7-6, 2-6, 11-9..

Day 2 of the John McWilliams Invitational is tomorrow, September 17th. The Hawks will take on LaGrange, Piedmont, and Belhaven. First matches are scheduled for 11:30 AM CST.
