Women's Tennis Falls to Truett McConnell And Indiana Wesleyan
CLEVELAND, Ga.- Looking to bounce back from their 7-0 loss to Piedmont in their first conference match of the season, Huntingdon women's tennis continued their road trip, this time taking on NAIA Truett McConnell University and Indiana Wesleyan.
The Hawks fought valiantly, but ultimately were defeated by TMU 6-1 and Indiana Wesleyan 7-0. See below for the full singles and doubles results of each match.
Match One v. Truett McConnell
Doubles
- Lilly Brown and Taji Williams defeated Ashley Johnson and Rebekah Scott 6-4
- Natalie Tedesco and Ella Hathcock were defeated by Katie Stanfield and Lydia Clack 6-0
- Angelina Mazza and Dalyce Sanders were defeated by Hannah Davidson and Audrey Wheeless 6-2
Singles
- Lilly Brown defeated Katie Stanfield 6-3 and 6-2
- Taji Williams was defeated by Ashley Johnson in three sets, winning the first 6-1 before dropping the next two 6-3 and 10-5
- Natalie Tedesco was defeated by Lydia Clack in three sets, winning the first 6-4 before dropping the next two 6-0 and 10-6
- Ella Hathcock was defeated by Rebekah Scott 6-1 in each set
- Athens DeVer was defeated by Hannah Davidson 6-1 in each set
- Angelina Mazza was defeated by Audrey Wheeless 6-3 and 6-2
