Huntingdon opens season at Maryville

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT HUNTINGDON VOLLEYBALL MATCHES

                                                                                                                          

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon volleyball team opened the season with two matches at Maryville College on Sunday.

The Hawks lost the first match 25-14, 25-16, 19-25, 25-16 and fell 25-21, 19-25, 24-26, 25-16, 16-14 in the second match. Only the first match counted as a conference match.

Amy Tyma (39) and Jordan Hollis (22) combined for 61 kills in the two matches. With the 39 kills, Tyma pushed her career kill total to 1,253. Since the NCAA went to its current scoring format in 2008, Tyma is the first Hawk to record 1,250 career kills.  

Morgan Ilsley recorded 71 assists for the day and combined with Tyma for 51 digs. Hollis and Addie Jacobs combined for 13 blocks.
