Hawks Dominate Blazers on Senior Night

Montgomery, Alabama – Huntingdon Volleyball defeated Belhaven University 3-0 and improve to 22-7 Overall and 8-2 in the conference.

Huntingdon took the time to recognize their outstanding seniors for their hard work and dedication to their team and program:

Hawks came out hot in the first set taking a huge lead and forcing the Blazers to call a time out with the score 17-4. Belhaven's fight continued and brought the score within 10 points but wasn't enough to triumph the Hawks. Huntingdon shut out the Blazers 25-14 to end the first set.

The second set was a fight with Belhaven taking their first lead of the night at 6-5, but a huge block assist by Reece Rhodes and Izzy Valldeperas sparked the Hawks to keep the lead for the remainder of the set. As the battle continued the Blazers called a timeout at a score of 20-17 to regain some energy but Izzy Valldeperas finalized the set with 3 consecutive aces.

Another battle took way in the third set with a constant back and forth score. Hawks rallied behind senior Kamea Nash after serving an ace and going up three points, 16-13. The hawks would hold the lead for the remainder of the set to conclude the sweep of Belhaven University on senior night.
