FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Nearly 200 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 196 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 16 athletic programs, were among the 1,684 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Women's basketball player Juliette Harp and men's golfer Addison Lambeth were recognized as the Huntingdon Female Student-Athlete of the Year and Male Student-Athlete of the Year during Wednesday night's Awards Ceremony.

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the sixth-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, five student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Audrianna Hargitt is today's featured student-athlete.

Huntingdon competes in beach volleyball tri-match

MOBILE, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team took on two in-state opponents in a tri-match at Spring Hill College on Friday. The Hawks faced third-year Division II Spring Hill twice and the University of Mobile club team once. First-year Huntingdon fell 5-0 in each match.

BABSON PARK, Fla. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team fell to Webber International 5-0 on Tuesday.

Huntingdon's No. 2 team of Alexis Creasman (front) and Bria Rochelle defeated Morehead State in three sets. The Hawks lost 4-1 overall, but the individual match win was Huntingdon's first against a Division I team.
Beach volleyball wraps up Eckerd College Battle on the Bay

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team lost three team matches, but won one individual match on the final day of the Eckerd College Battle on the Bay on Saturday. Huntingdon lost 5-0 to 14th-ranked Division I Florida Atlantic, lost 4-1 against Division I Morehead State and fell 5-0 to Division II Eckerd College. Huntingdon's No. 2 team of Alexis Creasman and Bria Rochelle won 21-17, 14-21, 15-12 against Morehead State. The win was the second of the season for Creasman and Rochelle and the first for the first-year Hawks (1-11) against a Division I program.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team tasted victory for the first time with a 3-2 win over Principia College on Saturday during the final match of the Huntingdon College Beach Tournament.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The first-year Huntingdon beach volleyball team dedicated its new courts and played its first home match on Friday at the Alice D. Reynolds Outdoor Volleyball Center. The Hawks fell to Division III Stevenson University 5-0 in the first match of the Huntingdon College Beach Tournament. The Mustangs are a second-year program.

GULF SHORES, Ala. – The first-year Huntingdon beach volleyball team opened the season on Saturday against a pair of Division I opponents in the Spring Hill Tournament. The Hawks fell to the University of New Orleans 5-0 and lost to Jacksonville State University 5-0.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West and Athletic Director Mike Turk officially announced the addition of a new varsity women's sport on Tuesday. Huntingdon will begin competition in sand volleyball during the spring of 2017. With the addition of the sport, Huntingdon will offer 16 varsity sports.
