FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Nearly 200 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 196 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 16 athletic programs, were among the 1,684 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Women's basketball player Juliette Harp and men's golfer Addison Lambeth were recognized as the Huntingdon Female Student-Athlete of the Year and Male Student-Athlete of the Year during Wednesday night's Awards Ceremony.

This week is NCAA Division III Week and member institutions across the country are celebrating the sixth-year event. Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. As part of Huntingdon College's participation in Division III Week, five student-athletes will be featured this week. Huntingdon senior Nick Haas is today's featured student-athlete.

MINNEAPOLIS – Three Huntingdon players earned All-South Region recognition with the release of the D3football.com All-Region teams on Monday night. Senior quarterback Luke Bailey, senior defensive lineman Heath McCray and sophomore linebacker Trey Hayes were each named second-team All-Region.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Three Huntingdon Hawks earned top individual awards and a total of 15 players were named All-Conference with the release of the USA South All-Conference football awards on Wednesday. Senior quarterback Luke Bailey was named Offensive Player of the Year, freshman defensive lineman DeAnte' Griffith was named Defensive Rookie of the Year and head coach Mike Turk was named Coach of the Year.

No. 25 Hawks fall to No. 12 Wheaton in Rd. 1 of NCAA playoffs

WHEATON, Ill. – The Huntingdon football team's season ended with a 45-10 loss to 12th-ranked Wheaton College in the opening round of the NCAA Division III playoffs on Saturday. The 25th-ranked Hawks end the season with a 9-2 record. This was Huntingdon's second straight playoff appearance and the third playoff appearance in program history.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team will play at Wheaton College on Saturday in the opening round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. Kickoff for the Top-25 matchup is set for noon at McCully Stadium. Huntingdon enters the game ranked 25th by D3football.com. Wheaton is ranked 13th in the D3football.com poll and 10th in the American Football Coaches Association poll.

With a 42-14 win over Averett University on Saturday, the Hawks clinched their second straight USA South Athletic Conference championship. As the conference champion, the Hawks advance to the NCAA Division III playoffs for the third time in program history.

Huntingdon keeps conference title hopes alive with win over Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon football team kept its goal of a second straight conference championship alive with a 28-24 win over Maryville College on Saturday. Leading 28-22 with 1:02 left in the game, junior Anthony Wood picked off a Maryville pass at the Huntingdon 1-yard line to end the Scots' final threat. The Hawks ran out the clock and took an intentional safety on the final play to end the game.
