FAYETTEVILLE, NC.- After suffering their second conference loss of the season at the hands of Piedmont University earlier this week, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse continued their road trip with a stop at Methodist University.
Boosted by a opening quarter that featured 12 goals, the Monarchs overwhelmed the Hawks, taking a 24-1 victory. Their first quarter push turned into a halftime lead of 17-0 before extending it even further, taking a 21-0 advantage early in the fourth quarter. Huntingdon's lone goal of the game belonged to Reagan Barrett, as she scored unassisted with 8 minutes to go. Methodist put in three more goals as the game came to a close to secure their fifth conference victory in six contests.
With this loss, the Hawks fall to 3-5 on the season with a 3-2 USA South record. They look to bounce back tomorrow, April 6th, as they close out their road trip at Greensboro. Gametime is set for 12:00 PM CT.
