Women's Lacrosse Brings Home USA South Sportsmanship Award

During the 2004-2005 academic year the USA South Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee instituted a Conference-wide Sportsmanship Award. Today, the USA South is pleased to announce the Sportsmanship Award winners for the 2024-25 spring sports season, which can be found below.
Hawks Fall To Piedmont In USA South Tournament Opener

Entering the tournament as the #7 seed, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse hit the road to battle Piedmont University, the #2 seed, in the first round.
Hudson And Jones Bring Home USA South All-Conference Honors

The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 All-Conference awards for women's lacrosse. Individually, Meredith's Reese Walker was named Offensive Player of the Year while her coach, Lauren Scott, was selected as Coach of the Year. Methodist's Kennedy Martin collected Defensive Player of the Year and Southern Virginia's Makenzie Mickelsen earned Rookie of the Year accolades to round out the individual awards. Additionally, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school who their coach felt displayed the best sportsmanship this season.
Hawks Close Out Regular Season With Loss To Southern Virginia, Enter USA South Tournament As 7th Seed

Traveling to Virginia for their final matchup of the regular season, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse hit the field in Buena Vista for a battle with Southern Virginia University. The Hawks were ultimately bested by the Knights 19-2 after taking a 13-0 deficit into the halftime break.

Hawks Fall In Senior Day Matchup Against USA South Front-Runner, Meredith

Coming off a 16-14 loss at the hands of Greensboro last week, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse welcomed the Avenging Angels of Meredith College to Samford Stadium for a home showdown with the current USA South front-runners on Senior Day. Ultimately, the Hawks were overwhelmed by the Avenging Angels, falling 23-0.
