Huntingdon volleyball stumbles in GSAC finals

DECATUR, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team battled its way to the Great South Athletic Conference tournament finals on Saturday, but the Lady Hawks came up short in the championship match. Facing Salem College for the third time this season, Huntingdon couldn't complete the season sweep of the Spirits. Salem took the championship match 25-20, 25-23, 19-25-25-9. Huntingdon reached the championship match by eliminating Spelman 25-13, 25-15, 23-25, 25-19 in the GSAC semifinals.

ATLANTA – Huntingdon juniors Kelly Kahumoku and Lauren Rozof and freshmen Kali Martin and Lexi Rangel were recognized with the release of the Great South Athletic Conference volleyball awards on Thursday. Kahumoku and Rozof were named All-Conference and Martin and Rangel were chosen to the All-Freshman team.

MACON, Ga. – The Huntingdon volleyball team picked up its 10th win in 11 matches with a 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 25-20 win over conference rival Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Lady Hawks (13-10) are 7-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference with two conference matches to play.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team made Tuesday a memorable night for the team's three seniors. Hosting Judson in a breast cancer awareness match, Huntingdon won 25-9, 25-19, 25-15 and helped seniors Melissa Baswell, Bianca Hulsey and Victoria Hurd win their final home match.

ATLANTA -- The Huntingdon volleyball team picked up its sixth straight win with a 25-22, 25-12, 25-15 win over conference rival Spelman on Wednesday. With the win, the Lady Hawks evened their overall record at 9-9 and improved to 5-1 in the Great South Athletic Conference.

Huntingdon volleyball downs LaGrange for fifth straight win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Huntingdon volleyball team did it the hard way Tuesday night, edging LaGrange in five games. The Lady Hawks jumped out to a two-game lead before having to rally to win 25-14, 25-15, 23-25, 22-25, 16-14. Huntingdon (8-9) trailed 10-3 and 13-6 in the final game. With LaGrange (4-12) leading 14-10, the Lady Hawks scored six straight points to end the match.
