Fulcher And Jones Headline Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse IWLCA Academic Awards
July 25, 2025
The IWLCA has named 376 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Additionally, they honored 1,289 student-athletes from 203 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.

Hudson And Jones Bring Home USA South All-Conference Honors

The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its 2025 All-Conference awards for women's lacrosse. Individually, Meredith's Reese Walker was named Offensive Player of the Year while her coach, Lauren Scott, was selected as Coach of the Year. Methodist's Kennedy Martin collected Defensive Player of the Year and Southern Virginia's Makenzie Mickelsen earned Rookie of the Year accolades to round out the individual awards. Additionally, the USA South recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team, consisting of one member from each competing school who their coach felt displayed the best sportsmanship this season.

Traveling to Virginia for their final matchup of the regular season, Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse hit the field in Buena Vista for a battle with Southern Virginia University. The Hawks were ultimately bested by the Knights 19-2 after taking a 13-0 deficit into the halftime break.
