USA South releases Academic All-Conference selections
June 10, 2020
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – A total of 184 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday. The student-athletes, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,702 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Division III Week is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Four Huntingdon student-athletes were recognized as USA South Athletic Conference Athletes of the Week on Monday. Sophomore Tri Overby was named Player of the Week for baseball, sophomore Morgan Coppini was recognized as Defensive Player of the Week for women’s lacrosse, freshman Kailey Laudicina was chosen as Rookie of the Week for women’s lacrosse and Madeline Creel was selected as Rookie of the Week for women’s tennis.

Maldonado and Laudicina lead Hawks in season-opening win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women’s lacrosse team scored the first 11 goals of the game and cruised to a 13-1 win over the University of Dallas on Saturday. The one goal allowed set a new program record for the eighth-year Hawks. The previous record for goals allowed was four in a 20-4 win over Oglethorpe in 2014.

USA South releases preseason lacrosse polls

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The USA South Athletic Conference released its men’s and women’s preseason lacrosse polls on Wednesday. The Huntingdon men are ranked sixth and the Huntingdon women are ranked 10th.
Huntingdon SAAC heads athletic teams’ community service effort

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently helped raise a collection of more than 6,000 items for the Montgomery Area Food Bank. The effort was part of the USA South Athletic Conference’s Cans Across the Conference food drive. All 18 member institutions of the USA South collected non-perishable items to benefit local charities of their choosing.
